Join us on this guided walk to discover the unique features of the Schrems high moor. Our nature guides will draw your attention to the distinctive characteristics and inhabitants of this special landscape, which are often easily overlooked. Find out how water is retained in the moor and how peat is formed and functions. If you like, you can sink into the damp peat in the bog-treading pool (please bring flip-flops for the walk back!).

A literal highlight is the Himmelsleiter viewing platform – enjoy a moorland drink at a height of 20 metres with a breathtaking view, before heading back to the UnterWasserReich Nature Park Centre for a peat-cutter’s snack on the terrace.
