Accessibility Statement

UnterWasserReich Naturpark Hochmoor Betriebs GmbH is committed to ensuring that its websites are accessible to all.

This accessibility statement applies to www.unterwasserreich.at

1. Status of compliance with requirements

Due to the following incompatibilities/exceptions, these websites are partially compliant with Conformity Level AA of the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.2’ and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services.

2. Content that is not / only partially accessible

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a. Incompatibility with accessibility regulations / Disproportionate burden

  • PDF and Word documents (particularly older documents) used on the websites are not accessible. If you require content from one of our PDF or Word documents, please contact us. We will endeavour to provide you with the information in a different format.
  • The videos used on our websites are currently not accessible. Adapting them would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We endeavour to make new videos accessible as soon as possible.
  • In some cases, the alternative text for images is not optimally chosen; we are working on making all images accessible to screen reader users via alternative text. Our editors are being made aware of this and are receiving training accordingly.
  • We endeavour to write our texts largely without abbreviations and foreign words. We also avoid convoluted sentence structures. If you find a text difficult to understand and therefore consider it only partially accessible, please contact us. We will endeavour to provide you with an easily understandable version.
  • Lists such as accommodation lists, event lists, restaurant lists, POI lists (excursion destinations), service lists and town and region lists are based on structured data from our tourism database and are currently only partially accessible.
  • The layout of the web pages has been adapted to the display interfaces of the respective end devices. Setting the “viewport” tag to “maximum-scale=1” prevents the zoom function from working. Correcting this would have a significant impact on the layout’s appearance.
  • Several pages contain ‘iframe’ elements without labels.
  • Some pages contain links without link text.
  • The visual presentation of text and images containing text does not always meet the required minimum contrast ratio. (Apart from the exceptions provided for in the regulations, e.g. for logos)

The listed non-conformities with accessibility regulations are being corrected on an ongoing basis.

           b. The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

  • Recorded time-based media, such as video and audio media, published before 28 June 2025.
  • Interactive maps are currently not accessible. However, the information from the map is available in an accessible format on our website.
  • Third-party content: Our websites are partly based on content from a decentralised tourism database. Our content partners are required to provide text and media in an accessible format. However, no statement can be made regarding the compliance of this third-party content with accessibility regulations.

3. Creation of the accessibility statement

This statement was created on 10 June 2025.

The statement was drawn up on the basis of an assessment carried out by Niederösterreich-Werbung GmbH of the websites’ compliance with the BaFG in the form of a self-assessment in accordance with WCAG 2.2.

4. Feedback and contact details

The content of the websites is subject to ongoing changes and updates. To take this into account, our staff review the content on an ongoing basis. Usability and accessibility are of great importance to us.

Should you encounter any barriers on our websites that hinder or restrict your use of them, please let us know by emailing the following address: info@unterwasserreich.at

In this case, please briefly describe the problem and provide the URL of the relevant website or document. We will review your enquiry and contact you as soon as possible.
