Hikes through tree-lined avenues past wildlife gates, enjoyable amazement at the Langen Teich pond, pure nature in a diverse Waldviertel landscape.

Enjoy the forest, meadow and pond landscape in the north-eastern Waldviertel. The nature park area is managed by the Geras Nature Park Association. The hiking trails lead through avenues of deciduous and coniferous trees. Large game enclosures with mouflon, fallow deer, sika and red deer have been set up along the Jägersteig trail. One path leads to the "Long Pond". This is the largest sky pond in a chain of ponds strung together like a string of pearls. These were created centuries ago. The Geraser Stiftskarpfen, which has a great taste, is grown in them. The ponds have been home to many migratory birds over the centuries. The swans even like it so much that they spend the winter in Geras. An annual highlight for locals too: the migration of the swans in spring with their young from the breeding pond to the Long Pond along the roads and paths.
